Create Active Directory Groups
In this tutorial, you will learn how to create Active Directory Groups with the AD Pro Toolkit.
This tool will allow you to create single groups or bulk import multiple groups.
Step 1. Click on Import Groups
Step 2. Download the CSV Template
Step 3. Edit the CSV Template
- name = name of the group
- distinguishedName = Path (OU) where you want the groups created.
- groupcategory = Security or Distribution for the group category
- groupScope = Universal, Global, or Domain Local
- Description = Give the group a description (optional)

Step 4. Run
Select your CSV file and click run.
Review the logs for any errors.
If I check in Active Directory I’ll see the two groups have been created in the Accounting OU.
I’ll check the Citrix OU and see if the two groups have been created.
